AWARDS

FESPB AWARDS TO YOUNG EUROPEAN SCIENTISTS

 

The FESPB Awards are the Federation’s most prestigious awards. Two FESPB Awards are awarded by FESPB during the next Plant Biology Europe Congresses to two young scientists selected by the FESPB Awards Committee from nominations put forward by each of the constituent Societies of the FESPB.

Winners are sponsored to attend the PBE 2023 Congress. Furthermore, they also receive a prize and a certificate. Prizes are donated by two prestigious journals, Journal of Plant Physiology and the Journal of Experimental Botany. The winners are asked to give a talk at the Congress and to write an article for the sponsoring Journal.

The candidates for 2023 FESPB award edition, must have completed his/her PhD no more than six years before the start of the Congress (parental leaves are not considered in calculating this period).

The candidates have to use the application and nomination forms. They must be sent to Prof. Isabel Diaz  by email (i.diaz@upm.es). Please, indicate in the mail object “FESPB Award candidacy”.

The deadline for submitting candidacy is May 15th.

The candidates for 2023 FESPB award edition, must have completed his/her PhD no more than six years before the start of the Congress (parental leaves are not considered in calculating this period) and will give a talk during PBE2023.

 

 BEST STUDENT POSTER AWARDS

 

At the FESPB Plant Biology Europe Congress PBE2023 awards will be given by FESPB for the best student posters (https:/)/www.fespb.org/awards/best-student-poster/).

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

In order to participate to the selection, applicants will be requested to notify at registration.

The selection will be made by independent evaluators during the FESPB Congress

The final selection will be made by the FESPB Grants and Awards Committee

 

GRANTS

Registration Fee Waivers

Thanks to sponsorship from the IRD, a limited number of registration fee waivers are available for participants from low income countries. Applicants should directly contact organizers at cecile.lecampion@univ-amu.fr sending their resume (CV) and a cover letter in PDF format, if they want to be considered for registration fee waivers.

To confirm your application you must submit an abstract (to be considered for an oral communication or a Poster). Abstract submission will open on February 15, 2023 and will ends on March 20, 2023. After this date you won’t be able to apply for the grant.

IM2B (INSTITUT MICROBIOLOGIE, BIOÉNERGIES ET BIOTECHNOLOGIE) offers registrations fee waivers to young scientists (PhD and post-doc). Young scientists who are member of the IM2B are welcome to applicate. Applicants should submit an abstract before March 20, 2023, after this date you won’t be able to apply for the grant, and directly contact organizers cecile.lecampion@univ-amu.fr sending their resume (CV) and a cover letter in PDF format. Please mention that you apply for IM2B grant.

INRAe offers registrations fee waivers to PhD and post-doc. INRAe young scientists are welcome to applicate.

Applicants should submit an abstract before March 20, 2023, after this date you won’t be able to apply for the grant, and directly contact organizers : cecile.lecampion@univ-amu.fr sending their resume (CV) and a cover letter in PDF format. Please mention that you apply for INRAe grant.

The French Society of Plant Biology is pleased to offer a limited number of registration fee waivers for PhD and post-doc.Applicants should contact the organizers directly at cecile.lecampion@univ-amu.fr with their curriculum vitae (CV) and a cover letter in PDF format, if they wish to be considered for the fee waiver. Applications will be processed as the arises. Applicants must be members of the SFBV at the time of application.
