Abstract: 

Plant synthetic biology is opening the possibility to face some of the scientific challenges related to a more sustainable agriculture. This includes improving the quality and resilience to crops to a changing environment or the use of plants to manufacture novel biomaterials or the production of therapeutic compounds. In this workshop we will discuss the latest technologies for plant engineering, their application in crop improvement and in answering fundamental questions in plant biology.
